Urban Decay - Mariposa Palette

Hey Y'all

I have a new Palette...URBAN DECAY MARIPOSA

I'm really feeling urban decay at the moment having just purchased my second product I can confirm that I am now in love!!

First of all the packaging is super cute and has a pretty butterfly on the lid...I beleive that Mariposa means Butterfly in spanish :-)

It has ten lovely colours which are pigmented really well and go on perfectly, it also comes with a cute little blending brush which I thought was a nice touch. (thanks UD) hehehe..

My only downside with this pallette would be that there is no mirror but if your anything like me you will have tons of mirrors to compensate so not a big deal really. All in all ladies I would say this is a definate must have for your make-up kitty :-) can be brought here

Below are some pics of me experimenting with Haight & Skimp which I totally adore! Oh yea and I did have a slight boo boo with my gel liner #plz dont juge me lol

As always Bye for now my loves

Clean Up Clean Up ...

Hello my lovely loves..

How are you all?

Praying for sunshine I bet..I know me too :(

But in the meantime while we wait for this horrid weather to change I thought I would do a bit of Spring cleaning.

If your anything like me when it comes to make up then you will be a hoarder. I just cant seem to throw my make- up away (nasty I know lool ) the silly thing is half of what I have I do not use!

So with that being said I was reading an article the other day and it made me realise that I need to do a spring clean and get rid of all my old make up and give my brushes a good deep clean!

From the article I read on Wahanda research showed that 78% of women had no idea that their make up had a shelf life at all. The article also brought to my attention that out of all our everyday products Mascara and Eyeshadow where the top two that we used beyond the sell by date.

Here are a few more facts and tips that may help you guys when it comes to Make-Up and Hygiene...

  • Mascaras have the shortest shelf life of all make up and tend to go off within 2-3 months.
  • Once they start drying up or flaking its time to throw away and buy a new one.
  • With any makeup, good hygiene will prolong usage. Always use clean brushes and sponges for application, give lipsticks a wipe over after each application and sharpen pencils before use.
  • Remember to keep lids shut and bottle tops on and store makeup in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Any make up that starts looking different, develops a film or has a strange odour has gone off and should be thrown out.
  • If you have an infection such as a cold sore or eye infection it’s a good idea to avoid using makeup on that area until it has healed to prevent spreading and contamination of your makeup. Throw away any cosmetics you’ve used from the time the infection occurred and replace with new ones.
  • Brushes, sponges and applicators are a breeding ground for germs that can transfer bacteria from face to product and back and so need to be kept clean - as do hands and fingers!
  • Brushes should be washed a minimum of once a week. They can be washed using a mild shampoo, washing up liquid or many companies make their own brush cleanser. The more frequently you wash them the less time consuming the process will become. Sponges should also be replaced frequently.
  • With makeup I use infrequently, I write on the date I opened it to serve as a reminder. Once opened, I wouldn’t keep anything longer than two years just to be on the safe side.
Hope this helped you guys a little.

as always bye for now ...

I got Naked 2 baby!!!!

Hi my Loves

No no no.... it's not what you think at all LOL (dirty minds) hhehehe

I got my self  Urban Decay Naked 2 pallette y'all i'm so excited about it.

Now I know this isn't a new pallatte or anything but I've always wanted Naked 2 I've just been put off buy the price but I said to myself Nikki YOLO buy the damn thing lol so I did just that!

For me when it comes to eyeshadow I always seem to go for dramatic black smokey eye or golds and I very rarely do a nice natural eye or a brown smokey eye (not to sure why dont know if its a comfort zone thing or what) ... but now that I have this palette I can't wait to experiment.

Urban Decay Naked 2 is a stunning collection of Taupe and Beige eye shadows with a few extras...we like extras :-)

Naked 2 features 12 neutral shadows 5 of which are brand new!! what I also love about this palette is that I received a free double end crease and eyeshadow brush.

Pallette contains -
  • Blackout - Blackest black with matte finish.
  • Booty Call - Shimmering cork.
  • Busted - Deep brown shimmer.
  • Chopper - Copper shimmer with silver micro glitter.
  • Foxy - Cream bisque with matte finish.
  • Half Baked - Golden bronze shimmer.
  • Pistol - Light grey/brown shimmer.
  • Snakebite - Dark metallic bronze shimmer.

    #fightoftheflab ...My new waist trimmer

    Hey my Loves...

How are you all, well I trust!!

So today i'm here with a fitness review on my lovely waist trimming belt.

Question what is the purpose of this Nikki..... and does it work?

Well there are many different brands out there so I wasn't to sure which to go for, in the end I went for one that I found on ebay (link above) as I weren't to sure it was even going to work let alone spend 20 quid on a belt lol

So back to the product, the waist trimmer is made from a neoprene material so that they are comfortable, durable and lightweight to use while working out. Now I must worn you if you have a thing for smells then this is not for you as it smells real bad but I am assuming that this is what makes the product work!

It has a Velcro that tightens around your waist and is adjustable, The waist trimmer has been marketed to help you target and lose weight/fat/inches around the stomach area.

This belt can be used in the Gym, Running and at home.

    How it works...

Now ladies and guys too this belt does not magically melt away fat or give you a flat stomach instantly *i wish*  What it does do is help promote sweat in that particular area which then leads to weight and fluid loss.

Having worn it for the first time yesterday I did see a huge difference in my sweat levels if that makes sense but obviously I will need to wear it for a bit longer to know if it truly works.

    So watch this space people...

I'm thinking should I set myself a goal??? say end of August signs of abs lol

In the mean time here's another workout for you all :-)

    Light Workout

    100 Jumping Jacks
    50 Squats
    2x 30 sec Planks
    50 Russian Twist Crunch
    50 Knee Ups
    2 x 10 Push ups

    Lets go!!!

    Bye for now my loves

    We like Bank Holiday's ....

    Hello My Lovely loves :-)

How was your Bank holiday weekend?

I hope you all had a good one, mine was a little quiet. This was the first ever bank holiday where me and my girls didn't party *SHOCKING* for those that know us as where ravers Lol

I was happy for the much needed rest though always good to have one every now and then.

So instead of partying me and my ladies decided to throw a BBQ which gave me an excuse to wear my lovely new geek glasses from Zara,

also my lovely Cuff from Accessorise these two items are my favourite buys for this month as they are on trend and will complete an outfit perfectly.

Yesterday I wore all leather (trousers and jacket) all from Zara of course, I swear I should be an ambassador for that company lol

Anyways so as I was wearing an all leather ensemble yesterday my leather cuff complemented it well.

Below as always are a few pics and the links of where to buy them.

Also I have posted a pic of these new Bacardi drinks that are to die for I advise you all to stock up your drinks cupboard with these for your future BBQ's to come....

These can be purchased from any local supermarket.

I want to know what you all did with your Bank Hols?!?! As always i will be waiting :-)

Bye for now my honeys x
